Patagonia’s Black Hole® Bag Collection
Marvellous things continue to be realised at Patagonia HQ. Contrary to what the name suggests, this isn’t the announcement of Patagonia’s outer space endeavours. However, it is a series of their most durable and ethically sound luggage yet, fit for all of the lugging and bashing that inevitably comes with travel, now made from 100% recycled materials.
So far, they’ve employed 10 million plastic bottles to construct this year’s collection, creating a highly-durable waterproof polyester ripstop. It’s no surprise that the whole Black Hole collection is backed by Patagonia’s Ironclad Guarantee, meaning they’re fit for all the inevitable battering sustained on your travels.
Take the 55L Duffel Bag, for example: designed for globe-traversing travel. Consisting of 33 plastic bottles which form a highly weather resistant, postconsumer recycled polyester ripstop shell, with inner pocket storage and padded shoulder straps and base. It also has haul handles for easy carrying to your side, and handy daisy chains to keep things closer to hand or drying externally. When not in use it usefully packs down into its own pocket, so it can be stored more easily.
We have the whole family locked down this season: Ultralight ones, laptop compatible or adventure designed ones, from 1L right through to 120L. Available online and instore now.
