Sweaters, joggers, whatever you choose to call these most comfortable of garments, Champion are the OG. Established in 1919 by the brothers Feinbloom to produce uniforms for athletics teams, Champion quickly became synonymous with the All-American sporting tradition. Along the way they developed a pioneering process of production (quite a mouthful)
At the request of sports coaches in the ‘40s, who wanted to wash all their athlete’s uniforms at once without risk of damaging them, Champion developed the reverse weave process, the fleece fibre of the material is turned upside down at the time of creation which stops normal horizontal shrinkage.
Still iconic today, having been adopted by practically every subculture under the sun, Champion is the one for your leisure wear needs.
