Danner Boots

It's well known amongst those that know that Danner make and design some of the finest boots in the business from their Portland, Headquarters.

Having started business in 1932 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Charles Danner moved his family and company to Portland, Oregon in 1936 where he was able to sell calked logging boots for a premium... fast forward to the 1960s and outdoor pursuits such as hiking, camping and climbing became the zeitgeist in the United States and Danner pounced on the opportunity to be the only domestic manufacturer of hiking boots.

Still to this day handcrafting their sturdy classic silhouettes such as the Mountain Light in full grain leather uppers from their Portland base, modernised with waterproof Gore-Tex liners and Vibram lug outsoles. Joined in recent years by new styles like the Mountain 600, a contemporary interpretation of the Mountain Light with a nod to classic hikers and a trainer-like feel and comfort.
