Inspired by Ecuadorian optimism and a volcano that became its namesake, Cotopaxi is a brand maximal in both design and ethics.
After spending his childhood in poverty - stricken areas of Latin America, Davis Smith founded Cotopaxi in 2014, in hopes of posing a direct challenge to Fordist manufacturing: each employee sees a product from start to finish, and 1% of the company’s annual profits are donated to a gaggle of people-focused charities. Their Del Día collection is a potluck of funk-filled outdoor innovation. In this new, exciting world of Cotopaxi, chaos is the only certainty: each piece is a completely one-of-a-kind amalgam of factory excess. And, it’s all made in the Philippines by the same passionate makers crafting each unique colour combination. So although we can’t promise you that exact one will be delivered to you, we are promising you a rose garden. They believe in good products, good people, good stories, and paying it forward; as well as colour palettes that put peacocks to shame.
