La Sportiva’s Mutant brings to mind a creature of fearsome strength and ability but with an alienating appearance. It’s fair to say that the Mutant is not for all, and it has something of the cartoon mutant in its DNA. But this freak of the trail world has an ultra grippy sole unit, with a FusionGate™ integrated lacing technology creating an incredibly supportive fit. Uniquely it also employs La Sportiva’s SpyralTongue™ to create a built-in gaiter that keeps mud and stones out.

- Non-slip mesh lining
- Integrated lacing system with FusionGate technology for a secure fit
- OrthoLite Mountain Running Ergonomic 4mm insole for performance orientated cushioning
- 10mm heel-forefoot differential (18mm/8mm)
- Anti-torsion stabiliser insert
- Injected MEMlex EVA midsole provides cushioning and support
- FriXion XF White sole with super sticky rubber for grip on soft, muddy terrain
- AT Grip Spikes increase traction and control
