These are pretty clever. Salomon’s XA Pro 3D Modular Trainers combine a synthetic / mesh outer shell with a moulded OrthoLite sockliner, allowing them to be worn in three ways. With those big mesh panels, the outer exoskeleton makes a prime river shoe, while that nifty inner sock works as a slipper when you get back to the campsite. Wear them both together and you’ve got a comfortable pair of all-terrain trainers that aren’t afraid to get wet.
