One of Hoka's most distinctive styles and definitely a favourite in the Outsiders' office, the Speedgoat is named after Karl Meltzer, who other than sleeping, appears to run the remainder of the time. A wide toe box design, the Speedgoat 2 was a game changer when it first released in 2017, prioritising comfort and performance in equal measure. The open engineered mesh uppers provide unmatched breathability on the move, which are set atop oversized CMEVA foam midsole for maximum cushioning on the rough stuff. Italian grip titans, Vibram's Megagrip handles outsole duties, complete with 5mm, multidirectional lugs for reliable traction on terrain that's anything but. Designed to take on all manner of off-road terrain, we use them equally as a runner and outdoor performance shoe.
