The Stormbird is Finisterre's pinnacle technical waterproof jacket, designed for the worst conditions the British Isles can throw at you. The first thing you notice here is that reassuringly tough recycled ripstop fabric, giving the jacket a structured, robust feel while still keeping the weight down and the rain out. Taped seams and waterproof zips bolster the waterproof credentials, with an adjustable three-way hood offering protection when the clouds open.
It's a true performance piece, but thanks to Finisterre's design knowhow, it's really wearable too-with a casual feel that works from the mountain top to the corner shop.
