An excellent addition to any casual layering systems, the Thermal Insulation Quilted Jacket from Gramicci covers all the midlayer prerequisites - unobtrusive, warm and versatile. The face fabric is a crisp and crinkly nylon taffeta (?) that offers ample water-repellency in light rain. This encases, in diamond-stitched baffles, Eitechdown insulation. This synthetic fill boasts down-like warmth, with none of the drawbacks, meaning it’ll keep you warm even when wet. Press stud fastening and the rounded collar reduces bulk and makes the style easier to layer, while increasing packability in the process.

Gramicci’s sizing can be confusing. The size label states the Asia and US size, but like most UK based stores we use the Asian sizing as this is closest to the true size.
