Taking fit and performance cues from trail runners, Arc’teryx have revitalised the approach shoe with the Vertex Alpine GTX. A sturdy EVA midsole, reinforced toe cap and Cordura upper all contribute to the reassuring stiffness, while a tactile Vibram outsole allows the wearer to tackle technical trails in wet or dry conditions without compromising on ride feel. Protection from the elements is cemented by a GORE-TEX membranes and a tight-fitting, integrated knit collar tongue to keep debris where it belongs.
