Ultralight by name, ultralight by nature, the UL All Weather Hoody is a seriously well-thought-out piece of outerwear from Japan’s Yamatomichi. The brand describe their ‘UL All Weather’ gear as a new type of clothing they call ‘All Weather Activewear’ which rethinks the way we use rainwear. Rather than rely on heavy waterproofs, they propose using ultra-light, breathable shells that you can keep moving in. This anorak is a perfect example of what they’re talking about.
Made from a revolutionary nylon nanofiber called Pertex Shield Air, not only is it unbelievably light, but it’s a lot more breathable than traditional rainwear, meaning that it works particularly well for those travelling at pace. That unique fabric is combined with a zipless design and ultrasonic welded seams to keep the raindrops out.
